Hawthorn held off Adelaide by nine points at UTAS Stadium on Thursday night, the 10.15 (75) to 9.12 (66) result extending the Hawks' Launceston winning streak to 12 games. Blake Hardwick booted four from a forward role. The win came two days after the AFL told the Hawks their Tasmania association ends with 2027, ahead of the Tasmania Devils' arrival in the competition.

Geelong kicked eight unanswered goals to crush Collingwood by 54 points at the MCG on Saturday night, spoiling Scott Pendlebury's record-equalling 432nd game. Oisin Mullin held Nick Daicos to no impact. The 18.14 (122) to 9.14 (68) result puts the Cats two games clear at the top of the ladder. Pendlebury breaks the record on 23 May at the same venue.
