Hawthorn held off Adelaide by nine points at UTAS Stadium on Thursday night, the 10.15 (75) to 9.12 (66) result extending the Hawks' Launceston winning streak to 12 games. Blake Hardwick booted four from a forward role. The win came two days after the AFL told the Hawks their Tasmania association ends with 2027, ahead of the Tasmania Devils' arrival in the competition.

Adelaide blew Round 10 wide open on Sunday afternoon with a 20.13 (133) to 9.11 (65) win over North Melbourne at Adelaide Oval. Darcy Fogarty returned, Riley Thilthorpe was out with a back, Taylor Walker was sidelined again, and the Crows piled on 11 goals in the second quarter to put the result beyond doubt by half-time.
